Last Thursday, Noah Leon, Canadian filmmaker and #Apple #Newton #MessagePad enthusiast, for those who don’t know at all: the Newtons are the ancestors of the iPad Pro (I say Pro because the stylus has always been present on the Newtons). I resume, Noah Leon who has the project to make a real documentary on the Newton – with interviews of personalities having had or still having an implication with this Apple product of the 90s – was in Europe, including a passage in France to shoot some interviews. I joined the journey that Cédric Sartoo had proposed to him, namely, to visit Paris accompanied by a version of the software « Guide Michelin Paris » which had been proposed at the time for the Newtons. So here I am in Paris to accompany Noah and Cédric to shoot some sequences, depending on the tourist places of the capital. After this long walk in Paris, we met in a restaurant to extend this day, with this time three more guests. Indeed Paul Guyot (who is no longer presented in the Newton community) as well as Paweł Piotrowski who was accompanied by his wife Agnieszka, both had the trip from Edinburgh, for this special Newton day/evening.
Some photos taken at random, of this tribulation of several Newtons in Paris, nearly twenty years after the end of sales of this « tablet » from another era, but whose intelligence of the system, is, on some points, still unequalled.

Je reprend, Noah Leon qui à le projet de réaliser un vrai documentaire sur le Newton — avec des interviews de personnalités ayant eu ou ayant encore une implication avec ce produit Apple des années 90 — était en Europe, dont un passage en France pour tourner quelques interviews. Je me suis greffé au périple que Cédric Sartoo lui avait proposé, à savoir, visiter Paris accompagné d’une version du logiciel “Guide Michelin Paris“ qui avait été proposé à l’époque pour les Newton. Me voici donc à Paris pour accompagner Noah et Cédric pour tourner quelques séquences, au grès des lieux touristiques de la capital. Après cette longue promenade dans Paris, nous nous donné rendez-vous dans un restaurant pour prolonger cette journée, avec cette fois trois convives de plus. En effet Paul Guyot (que l’on ne présente plus dans la communauté Newton) ainsi que Paweł Piotrowski qui était accompagné de sa femme Agnieszka, tous deux avaient le voyage depuis Edinburgh, pour cette journée/soirée spécial Newton.
Quelques clichés pris au hasard, de cette tribulation de plusieurs Newton dans Paris, près de vingt ans après l’arrêt des ventes de cette “tablette“ d’une autre époque, mais dont l’intelligence du système, est, sur certains points, toujours inégalés.
